Local Equities Market

For the week ending November 1, 2024, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 3.11%. The Main Market Index improved by 3.13%, the Junior Market Index improved by 2.88%, and the JSE USD Equities Index improved by 0.34%. During the week JFP Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 27.91% to close at $1.10. ISP Finance Services Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 26.32% to close at $17.58.

Small-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Junior Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, decreasing by 1.45%, relative to its Main Market counterpart which has declined by 2.49%.

For the week ending November 1, 2024, overall market activity resulted from trading in 123 stocks of which 79 advanced, 33 declined and 11 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 183,695,703 units valued at over $1,720,089,077.35. Sagicor Select Funds Limited – Financial with 22,616,554 units (12.24%), followed by Transjamaican Highway Limited with 14,102,711 units (7.63%) and JFP Limited with 14,045,607 units (7.60%).
