Local Equities Market

For the week ending April 04, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, declined by 0.49%. The Main Market Index declined by 0.42%, the Junior Market Index declined by 1.28%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 7.55%. During the week Jetcon Corporation Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 14.56% to close at $1.18. First Rock Real Estate Investments Limited (USD) was the biggest decliner, which fell by 21.05% to close at $0.02.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 3.40%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 4.75%.

For the week ending April 04, 2025, overall market activity resulted from trading 127 stocks of which 35 advanced, 77 declined and 15 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 261,682,209 units valued at over $1,832,854,773.68. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited with 97,370,926 units (36.89%), followed by Wigton Energy Limited With 19,635,322 units (7.44%) and Regency Petroleum Co. Limited with 18,371,068 units (6.96%).
