For the week ending May 30, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, rising by 1.63%. The Main Market Index rising by 1.54%, the Junior Market Index rising by 2.80%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declining by 10.42%. During the week Caribbean Flavours & Fragrances Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 21.28% to close at $1.71. A.S. Bryden & Sons Holdings Limited USD was the biggest decliner, which fell by 27.10% to close at $0.20.
Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 3.26%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 5.67%.
For the week ending May 30, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 128 stocks of which 63 advanced, 41 declined and 24 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 320,489,665 units valued at over $1,110,401,163.50. Key contributors to trading volume are Dolla Financial Services Limited with 176,289,561 units (54.15%), followed by One on One Educational Services Limited with 26,547,853 units (8.15%) and Wigton Energy Limited with 16,534,681 units (5.08%).
