Local Equities Market

For the week ending June 06, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, declined by 0.93%. The Main Market Index declined by 0.78%, the Junior Market Index declined by 2.81%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declining by 4.26%. During the week Jetcon Corporation Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 19% to close at $1.19. Caribbean Flavours & Fragrances Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 17.54% to close at $1.41.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 4.02%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 8.32%.

For the week ending June 06, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 127 stocks of which 41 advanced, 68 declined and 18 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 82,438,135 units valued at over $334,868,008.07. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited (USD) with 78,555,974 units (48.61%), followed by MFS Capital Partners Limited with 20,663,375 units (12.79%) and TransJamaican Highway Limited with 13,701,482 units (8.48%).
