Local Equities Market

For the week ending June 13, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, declined by 2.49%. The Main Market Index declined by 2.63%, the Junior Market Index declined by 0.73%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declining by 0.43%. During the week Ironrock Insurance Company Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 17.10% to close at $5.00. A.S. Bryden & Sons Holdings Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 15.16% to close at $25.35.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 6.54%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 8.99%.

For the week ending June 13, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 124 stocks of which 32 advanced, 73 declined and 19 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 68,606,377 units valued at over $542,237,898.02. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited (USD) with 12,432,203 units (17.41%), followed by Kingston Wharves Limited with 10,154,947 units (14.22%) and Wigton Energy Limited with 7,178,718 units (10.05%).
