Local Equities Market

For the week ending September 19, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 0.30%. The Main Market Index improved by 0.24%, the Junior Market Index improved by 1.00%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 4.14%. During the week First Rock Real Estate Investments Limited (USD) was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 24.00% to close at $0.02. Productive Business Solution Ltd USD Ordinary Shares was the biggest decliner, which fell by 26.72% to close at $0.85.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 5.08%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 8.94%.

For the week ending September 19, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 126 stocks of which 55 advanced, 58 declined and 13 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 125,924,360 units valued at over $807,117,881.52. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited with 40,862,509 units (31.53%), followed by Sagicor Select Funds Limited – Financial with 8,927,910 units (6.89%) and Indies Pharma Jamaica Limited Ordinary Shares with 8,861,166 units (6.84%).
