Local Equities Market
For the week ending September 26, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 0.50%. The Main Market Index improved by 0.52%, the Junior Market Index improved by 0.23%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 2.25%. During the week VM Investments Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 18.78% to close at $2.53. ISP Finance Services Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 18.44% to close at $12.21.
Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 4.59%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 8.74%.
For the week ending September 26, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 126 stocks of which 63 advanced, 52 declined and 11 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 162,209,018 units valued at over $945,212,278.95. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited with 59,916,617 units (36.18%), followed by Wigton Energy Limited with 11,827,812 units (7.14%) and Future Energy Source Company Ltd Ordinary Shares with 11,176,709 units (6.75%).
