Local Equities Market

For the week ending October 03, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 0.83%. The Main Market Index improved by 0.97%, the Junior Market Index declined by 0.96%, and the JSE USD Equities Index improved by 0.94%. During the week First Rock Real Estate Investments Limited (USD) was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 19.81% to close at $0.02. Key Insurance Company Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 21.40% to close at $1.80.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 3.66%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 9.61%.

For the week ending October 03, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 128 stocks of which 51 advanced, 63 declined and 14 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 220,343,109 units valued at over $2,351,824,155.66. Key contributors to trading volume are Jamaica Stock Exchange with 51,533,399 units (22.71%), followed by TransJamaican Highway Limited with 32,003,968 units (14.11%) Wigton Energy Limited with 29,357,179 units (12.94%).
