Local Equities Market

For the week ending December 12, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, declined by 0.23%. The Main Market Index declined by 0.18%, the Junior Market Index declined by 0.85%, and the JSE USD Equities Index improved by 1.63%. During the EduFocal Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 41.67% to close at $0.34. MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Limited USD was the biggest decliner, which fell by 27.74% to close at $0.09.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 6.78%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 12.49%.

For the week ending December 12, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 124 stocks of which 45 advanced, 63 declined and 16 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 110,616,805 units valued at over $383,608,085.24. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited with 24,984,241 (22.25%), followed by Kintyre Holdings (JA) Limited with 17,869,513 units (15.92%) and JMMB Group Limited 9.50% with 8,928,334 units (7.95%).
