The Main Market Index improved by 3.20%, the Junior Market Index declined by 2.21%, and the JSE USD Equities Index improved by 10.29%. During the Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Ltd.was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 31.15% to close at $7.62. MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Limited USD was the biggest decliner, which fell by 17.11% to close at $0.29.
Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, improving by 8.95%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 0.33%.
For the week ending January 30, 2026, overall market activity resulted from 129 stocks of which 67 advanced, 49 declined and 13 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 233,427,876 units valued at over $1,266,288,981.52. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited with 48,959,423 (20.39%), followed by Kintyre Holdings (JA) Limited with 29,957,231 units (12.47%) Dolla Financial Services Limited with 24,327,969 units (10.13%).
