For the week ending January 02, 2026, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 1.36%. The Main Market Index improved by 1.36%, the Junior Market Index improved by 1.38%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 7.24%. During the West Indies Petroleum Terminal Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 163.51% to close at $1.95. Sygnus Real Estate Financial Limited (JMD) was the biggest decliner, which fell by 15.15% to close at $11.87.
Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, improving by 0.47%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 0.57%.

Market volume amounted to 326,974,152 units valued at over $2,672,103,689.22. Key contributors to trading volume are Supreme Ventures Limited with 48,944,258 (14.80%), followed by Wigton Energy Limited with 46,353,704 units (14.01%) and TransJamaican Highway Limited with 40,149,419 units (12.14%).
