Local Equities Market
For the week ending July 10, 2026, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 1.99%. The Main Market Index improved by 2.27%, the Junior Market Index declined by 2.40%, and the JSE USD Equities Index improved by 6.40%. During the Productive Business Solution Ltd USD Ordinary Shares was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 32.25% to close at $0.79. Palace Amusement Co. Ltd. was the biggest decliner, which fell by 25.45% to close at $0.41.
Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, improving by 14.36%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declining by 11.73%.
For the week ending July 10, 2026, overall market activity resulted from 125 stocks of which 52 advanced, 62 declined and 11 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 133,276,454 units valued at over $1,018,974,439.89.
