For the week ending July 25, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, declined by 0.76%. The Main Market Index declined by 0.82%, the Junior Market Index declined by 0.13%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 2.34%. During the week First Rock Real Estate Investments Limited (USD) was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 21.74% to close at $0.02. Pulse Investments Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 16.98% to close at $0.88.
Small-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Junior Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 8.73%, relative to its Main Market counterpart which has declined by 9.77%.
For the week ending July 25, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 118 stocks of which 48 advanced, 55 declined and 15 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 77,638,127 units valued at over $525,327,107.07. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited with 15,653,646 units (19.82%), followed by One on One Educational Services Limited with 11,161,115 units (14,13%) and NCB Financial Group Limited with 8,113,827 units (10.27%).
