Local Equities Market
For the week ending July 04, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 0.15%. The Main Market Index improved by 0.09%, the Junior Market Index improved by 0.76%, and the JSE USD Equities Index improved by 2.46%. During the week ISP Finance Services Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 32.28% to close at $15.08. MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Limited USD was the biggest decliner, which fell by 29.09% to close at $0.39.
Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 6.79%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 7.85%.
For the week ending July 04, 2025, overall market activity resulted from 126 stocks of which 58 advanced, 54 declined and 14 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 544,130,351 units valued at over $814,208,664.59. Key contributors to trading volume are R.A. Williams Distributors Limited with 395,478,905 units (71.74%), followed by Wigton Energy Limited with 28,760,177 units (5.22%) and TransJamaican Highway Limited with 28,277,691 units (5.13%).
