Local Equities Market

For the week ending February 27, 2026, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 1.25%. The Main Market Index improved by 1.26%, the Junior Market Index improved by 1.07%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.06%. During the Caribbean Assurance Brokers Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 13.51% to close at $2.10. Sygnus Real Estate Finance Limited (USD) was the biggest decliner, which fell by 15.32% to close at $0.05.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, improving by 9.03%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 0.82%.

For the week ending February 27, 2026, overall market activity resulted from 128 stocks of which 71 advanced, 43 declined and 14 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 263,636,633 units valued at over $834,084,501.90. Key contributors to trading volume are Radio Jamaica Limited with 61,714,234 (23.06%), followed by R.A. Williams Distributors Limited with 45,750,522 units (17.09%) TransJamaican Highway Limited with 24,275,120 units (9.07%).
