Local Equities Market

For the week ending March 20, 2026, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, declined by 0.98%. The Main Market Index declined by 0.93%, the Junior Market Index declined by 1.74%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 4.89%. During the First Rock Real Estate Investments Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 40.45% to close at $10.00. ISP Finance Services Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 16.49% to close at $10.33.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, improving by 7.46%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declining by 1.30%.

For the week ending March 20, 2026, overall market activity resulted from 129 stocks of which 40 advanced, 74 declined and 15 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 224,667,239 units valued at over $1,508,859,368.27. Key contributors to trading volume are Woodcats International Limited with 97,643,741 (43.06%), followed by NCB Financial Group Limited with 23,319,029 units (10.28%) Kintyre Holdings (JA) Limited with 16,383,797 units (7.23%).
