Local Equities Market
For the week ending March 27, 2026, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 1.38%. The Main Market Index improved by 1.47%, the Junior Market Index improved by 0.18%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 2.94%. During the ISP Finance Services Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 20.91% to close at $12.49. Caribbean Assurance Brokers Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 19.49% to close at $1.57.
Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, improving by 9.04%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declining by 1.12%.
For the week ending March 27, 2026, overall market activity resulted from 125 stocks of which 57 advanced, 56 declined and 12 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 136,889,466 units valued at over $791,565,870.29. Key contributors to trading volume are TransJamaican Highway Limited with 21,354,861 (15.30%), followed by Woodcats International Limited with 18,735,492 units (13.42%) and Sagicor Select Funds Limited – Financial with 11,691,921 units (8.37%).
