Local Equities Market

For the week ending March 28, 2025, the local stock market, measured by the Combined Index, improved by 0.48%. The Main Market Index improved by 0.21%, the Junior Market Index improved by 3.79%, and the JSE USD Equities Index improved by 1.17%. During the week Medical Disposables & Supplies Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately39.26% to close at $1.88. ISP Finance Services Limited was the biggest decliner, which fell by 19.08% to close at $16.03.

Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are outperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 2.99%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 3.52%.

For the week ending March 28, 2025, overall market activity resulted from trading 125 stocks of which 66 advanced, 46 declined and 13 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 547,499,210 units valued at over $5,238,755,331.76.

Key contributors to trading volume are JMMB Group LTD 10.00% VR JMD Preference Shares with 241,392,415 units (43.71%), followed by TransJamaican Highway Limited With 123,026,096 units (22.28%) and Wigton Energy Limited with 50,013,703 units (9.06%).
