The Main Market Index advanced by 0.39%, the Junior Market Index declined by 2.28%, and the JSE USD Equities Index declined by 1.51%. During the week, Icreate Limited was the largest gainer, rising by approximately 22.81% to close at $0.70. Sygnus Real Estate Financial Limited Ordinary Shares was the biggest decliner, which fell by 22.20% to close at $8.90.
Large-cap stocks, reflecting those listed on the Main Market Index are underperforming on a YTD basis, declining by 11.59%, relative to its Junior Market counterpart which has declined by 5.35%.
For the week ending November 24, 2023, overall Market activity resulted from trading in 122 stocks of which 40 advanced, 65 declined and 17 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 117,393,264 units valued at over $1,357,701,955.03.
